Liebenhaut Volunteers for Homeless Veterans

Liebenhaut Volunteers for Homeless VeteransTallahassee, FL – Attorney Matt Liebenhaut volunteered his services this past weekend at the Homeless Veterans Stand Down at the North Florida Fairgrounds.  The event is a grassroots, community-based intervention program designed to help the nation’s estimated 67,000 homeless veterans “combat” life on the streets.  During the  event, the Fairgrounds take on a military atmosphere as tents and cots are set up for homeless veterans, who will live and sleep on the property through the weekend.  Veterans who do not have permanent housing get showers, food, clothing, medical services, legal and mental health services, and job counseling.  In describing his service, Attorney Liebenhaut said, “I was able to assist several veterans with family law and disability issues.  For some it was a matter of completing pleadings they will file themselves with the Court.  For others it was simply answering questions and giving advice.”  Liebenhaut was humbled by the opportunity.  “Knowing these veterans put their lives on the line in service of us, none of us should think twice about lending them our time to help.”

Matt Liebenhaut is a disability and family lawyer in Tallahassee, FL.  His practice is centered around assisting people with social security disability and private disability insurance as well as divorce, child custody, child support and similar issues.
